Who we are & scope

Allum Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates WineDelivery.co.uk. These terms apply to purchases made on this website by consumers located in the UK.

We sell age-restricted products. You must be 18 or over to purchase. Our couriers may perform age verification at delivery.

Definitions

  • “Buyer”, “you” — the individual placing an order.
  • “Goods” — the items you purchase from us.
  • “Order” — your offer to buy Goods via our website.
  • “Website” — WineDelivery.co.uk.
  • “Working Day” — Monday–Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.

Orders

  • All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We’ll confirm acceptance by email (order confirmation/receipt).
  • We may refuse or cancel an order (e.g. suspected fraud, pricing or description error, age-verification failure). Any payment taken will be refunded.
  • If an item is unavailable, we may offer an alternative or provide a refund.
  • Please check your details carefully. You’re responsible for accurate recipient names/addresses and delivery instructions.

Pricing & payment

  • Prices shown include VAT. Delivery supplements (e.g., weekend/AM, NI) are shown at checkout.
  • Payment methods: We process payments via PayPal (including card payments handled by PayPal). We don’t store full card details.
  • We take payment when you place the order. If we can’t accept the order, we’ll refund you promptly.
  • We try to ensure pricing/description accuracy; if we discover an error, we’ll contact you before dispatch or cancel and refund.

Delivery

  • Next-day aim: order by 4pm (Mon–Fri) for next working-day delivery across most of the UK. Weekend and AM services are available to eligible postcodes.
  • Delivery windows are estimates. We’re not liable for delays outside our control (see Events outside our control).
  • Age verification: couriers may require the recipient to be 18+. If suitable proof isn’t provided, the parcel won’t be released.
  • If the recipient is unavailable, the courier may attempt a neighbour, re-deliver, or take to a collection point (card/notification provided).
  • Risk & title: risk passes on delivery. Title passes on full payment and delivery.

Cancellations & returns

  • Change of mind (Consumer Contracts Regulations): you can cancel within 14 days of delivery. Let us know by email to [email protected]. Please return items within 14 days of cancellation in unused, resaleable condition with original packaging.
  • Return costs: for change-of-mind returns you cover return shipping. We’ll refund the goods price and the standard outbound delivery (if paid) within 14 days of receiving the return.
  • Faulty/damaged/incorrect: contact us as soon as possible (ideally within 48 hours of delivery) with photos. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund, and cover return/collection where applicable.
  • For hygiene/safety reasons we can’t accept returns of opened bottles unless the product is faulty.

Age-restricted sales

You must be 18+ to purchase alcohol. By ordering you confirm you are over 18 and legally entitled to purchase. We reserve the right to carry out checks and our couriers may require age verification at delivery. We will not complete delivery if suitable proof of age is not provided.

Liability

  • We’re responsible for foreseeable loss/damage caused by our breach or negligence. We’re not liable for loss that is not foreseeable or for business losses.
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter for which liability cannot be limited under law.

Events outside our control

If an event outside our reasonable control affects our ability to fulfil your order (e.g., adverse weather, carrier issues, strikes, emergencies), we’ll notify you as soon as possible and take steps to minimise the effect. If there’s a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to cancel and receive a refund for Goods you’ve paid for but not received.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated terms are posted.

Law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction, but if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
